ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Cheryl Blasnek

Cheryl Blasnek has spent a lifetime writing for other people in various mediums. She is a popular teacher and speaker who loves to teach from the scriptures. She has begun to fulfill a dream to write under her own name, and offers the fruits of her labor through Desert Bear Publishing. Cheryl is a resident of Arizona, her childhood home. But the place where she feels she grew up is Missouri. I will always carry the people and places of Missouri in my heart, she says. One of Cheryl's most beloved assignments was directing the outdoor pageant, 1833: A Frontier Story, in Missouri for 10 years. Cheryl loves to travel. She attended school in Hawaii at the BYU campus, served a mission in Ecuador for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has spent time in Guatemala as a translator for DOCARE doctors. Numerous trips to Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe have taught Cheryl the wonders to be found in the people and places of the world. She is an active member of the LDS church and serves as the Relief Society President in her congregation. The Relief Society is a woman's organization dedicated to serving others in the community. When not bound by obligation, Cheryl can be found outdoors enjoying the wonders of nature.
